The Referee course consists of both online training and an in-person field session with a Referee Coach/Mentor to prepare beginners for the recreational and competitive, youth and adult game. The online course must be completed prior to the in-person field session. Field sessions are typically scheduled for early fall and late winter/early spring prior to the main soccer seasons.
U.S. Soccer requires that all referees must be 13-years-old at the time of registration, no exceptions.
Those 18 and over must complete SafeSport and submit/pass a background check.
Total cost is $60 and covers registration with U.S. Soccer, Badge, Liability Insurance, Background Check and the Clinic.

**Note the lesson order changed slightly, Lesson 3 creates a Learning Center account and Lesson 4 takes you to the Montana Online Referee Module for US Soccer. Both lessons will mark as completed when the Online Referee Module in the Learning Center is completed.**
When you click Register below you will be asked to create a new OMS account, take your time and make sure your information is correct. Then you can reserve the clinic and pay the certification fees shown. Both the registration and clinic fee must be paid.

Once you've completed all of the online lessons, don't forget to attend! The clinic information is accessible from the OMS dashboard and the clinic instructor will reach out with time and place information.
