Background Checks
Background Checks
The Montana State Referee Committee (MTSRC) and the US Soccer Federation (USSF) require background checks for all MTSRC members (administrators, assignors, assessors, instructors and referees). This includes everyone who is age 18 or older at the time they certify or recertify for the current U.S. Soccer defined badge year. This process is implemented through the U.S. Soccer Learning Center. Should there be any members who opt out of the checks, they will not be registered.
Any referee, assignor, mentor or coach that is listed as having a current license has undergone this background check process and may be hired to perform their duties. In the event that a background check expires mid-season, that person's licenses will be revoked.
Contact the SRC if you have any concerns about an individual's status or to verify their license is in good standing.
